Push completely broke my heart and found ways to try to patch it back together at the same time Precious was living a life in Harlem of no education and no childhood Abused in several ways by her Mother and raped for years by her Father Precious figured out that the life she was forced to live in couldnt be good enough for her anymore She wanted more and she was determined despite all of the horrible heart breaking things she went through she found an education and she realized what love is Push is a book that I have recommended several times since reading it The content is graphic and hard to swallow at times but it is so full of hope and a new belief in the of achieving something higher than the hand life had dealt you Absolutely wonderful painful and a must read Also look for the movie new to theaters this month titled Precious Published November 29 2009
